MEET THE FAMILY AT REGIONAL AUTO SALES |
|
John Taylor has
been in the automotive industry for over two decades and has run
his first dealership, Dumfries Auto Mart, since he opened in
1989. His wife, Roxanne, has been by his side for seven of those
years, first as a Title Clerk and helping with moving cars
around. With time, Roxanne gained a lot of knowledge about the
industry and soon began helping the customers and meeting many
nice people.
John Taylor got his start in the automotive industry by helping
other dealers move cars around as they were purchased. He was
quickly able to get a grasp on the workings of being a car
dealer and in 1989 he opened his first dealership. While
focusing primarily on wholesale (dealer to dealer transactions)
he still managed to assist with the automotive needs of many of
those living in the Dumfries, Triangle, Woodbridge area. |

Today, John
serves as Virginia Independent Automobile Dealers
Association's (VIADA) district 6 Vice President.
VIADA is an association of used car dealers with the purpose
of enhancing the image of the industry overall. Members of
VIADA adhere to a strict Code of Ethics in their daily
business operations thereby setting themselves above other
no-member dealers. Of course Mr. Taylor would want you to do
business with him solely but if you find yourself at another
dealership he would encourage everyone to look for the Symbol of
Quality which VIADA's logo (can be seen on the Home Page)
that should be in the window of every member in order to ensure
you will be dealt with fairly and honestly. John is also
currently serving as State Director on the VIADA Board of
Directors.
One of the most valuable members of the staff at Regional Auto
Sales has to be Roxanne Taylor, John's wife. Roxanne has lived
in Amherst, Virginia all her life. She graduated from Sweet
Briar College with a degree in Economics and Computer Science.
She is vital in the daily operations at the dealership. Roxanne
spends most of her time managing the office, doing the
bookkeeping, handling all the title work, and helping out with
overflow sales. She is usually the first person you see when you
come in and she always has a smile on her face!
Roxanne says that while she and her family make a respectable
living, the most rewarding thing about running her own business
is the people she meets. Many customers continue to stay in
contact with Mr. and Mrs. Taylor well after the sale.
Many more tell their friends and family about Regional Auto
Sales and because of this referrals are their best source of new
customers! |
