John has been in the automotive industry for almost 3 decades. John got his start in the automotive business by helping other dealers move cars around that were purchased and then slowly moved into the purchasing and selling. John opened his first dealership in 1989 serving those living in Orange County, VA. Then, a couple of years later opened one in Dumfries, VA. While at first focusing on Wholesale sales (to dealers) primarily, he slowly began more Retail as they opened Regional Auto Sales in 2001. His wife, Roxanne, has been working with him for the last 18 years.

Regional Auto Sales is currently a member of VIADA. (Virginia Independent Automobile Dealers Association). John is serving as Vice President of District 6 VIADA, and on the board of directors. Members of VIADA adhere to a strict code of Ethics in their daily business operations. John was for years involved with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts Pack 43. He began as just a leader and worked his way up to Scout Master. He is currently serving as President of Clifford Ruritan Club.

Roxanne, John’s wife, has lived in Amherst, VA all her life. She graduated from Amherst County High School in 1989. She also graduated with a B.A. in Economics and Computer Science from Sweet Briar College in 1993. She is usually the first person you see when you walk in. She is involved with all aspects of the day to day functions. Roxanne says that the most enjoyable part of running her own business is all the people she meets. Many customer stay in contact with Roxanne and John for long after the sale.
